Summary
At university, I became fascinated by the network effects of digital marketplaces. Drawing on my internship experience in export and project finance at DZ Bank, I realised there was no platform revolutionising this space, even in Germany, the world’s former export champion. I set out to change that.
Key Achievements
- Authored a 50-page business plan covering business model, financial projections (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) five years ahead.
- Horizon 2020 application scored 11/13 points — just shy of funding threshold.
- Selected for LMU EC Accelerator (SS 2019 cohort) — alumni include Flixbus and Foodora — and reached the final round of TUM’s TechFounders Programme.
- Led strategy, product, sales, and operations from inception to traction.
- Raised €300k in equity funding.
- Secured 40 SMEs and corporates plus ~60 banks, including three of Europe’s top five.
- Drove product-led growth by creating a feature that sent anonymised deal data directly to relevant decision-makers at banks — enabling them to sign up with a single click. This reduced onboarding time from months of cold outreach to minutes, accelerating entry into target teams significantly.
- Built an advisory board of seven senior executives from manufacturers and financial institutions.
- Featured in a major German newspaper’s SME supplement, interviewed by leading industry associations, and invited to speak at Southwest Germany’s largest trade show.
